Safety Concerns For Medications with Acetaminophen

Many times, we tend to buy multiple over-the-counter medications and/or receive prescriptions to relieve whatever illness we may have. But did you know that different medications could have the same active ingredients? One of the common ingredients found in a lot of Over-The-Counter Medications and certain prescriptions for pain is Acetaminophen.

When taking one medication containing Acetaminophen as directed , it is quite safe. However, when taking multiple medications containing Acetaminophen, complications like LIVER DAMAGE can occur.

When deciding on taking multiple medications, it is always best to talk to your pharmacist to make sure if you can take those medications together as well as to make sure you avoid a possible overdose on certain pharmaceutical ingredients like Acetaminophen.
